WELCOME TO THE 2024 STBK LENT CHALLENGE

Lent is the period of 40 days (plus Sundays) that leads up to Easter. Each year Lent gives the opportunity to give up things which may be a distraction or which take up too much of our time, and to give special time to God.

This year to help us do this we are launching a special STBK LENT CHALLENGE

Each day during Lent, we will send out a simple challenge, either for prayer or action. The challenges will be on a different theme each week, following the Lent Sunday sermon series.

LENT SERIES - COVENANT

During Lent, we are following a sermon series entitled “Covenant”. The Bible story presents God’s involvement in his world in terms of a succession of covenants made by God, each one becoming more specific. Noah, Abraham, Moses, David, Jeremiah are all witnesses to God’s faithful and loving commitment to his world and his people. Finally a new covenant comes into being with Jesus, one which fulfils and renews God’s promises to his world.

The theme for each Sunday will give shape to the Lent Challenge for the following week.
