Dear Lord Jesus

It is sometimes very difficult to look to far horizons and think

about countries, cultures and lives so different to our own

In this time of lockdown when our perspectives seem even narrower

and it is the local and national that engages us,

give us the resolve to be curious about another country, to find out

more about its people, its life and its history

and then to pray your peace and blessing upon it.
