Dear Lord Jesus,

You have told us that a sparrow does not fall without your knowledge and we thank you

that nothing  this world escapes your notice.

Forgive us when we are self-centred, uninterested and unmindful of

what is happening to other people, here and in other places

Give us the desire to look outwards and the compassion to care

and to pray for our brothers and sisters who are suffering

  and the grace to celebrate with them in their joys.
