MINOR PROPHETS, MAJOR TOPICS

April - May 2026

The books we call ‘Minor Prophets’ in the Old Testament speak to situations of great social and political upheaval in the life of the people of God. At first glance, these writings can seem distant and rather hard to read, but they are all profoundly marked by the pattern of death and resurrection that is finally revealed in Jesus. Death comes as the ultimate consequence of rebellion against God, but in his faithfulness to his covenant promises, God always has his arms open to forgive and bring new life. With judgment there is also grace.
