Sticky Fingers is a playgroup run during school terms by teams of volunteer mums from
St. Barnabas Church. The strength of the group is in the opportunities it affords parents of young children to meet with others at a similar life stage. It seeks to provide a caring, nurturing, friendly haven from the bustle of a busy week.
What do we do?
The morning begins with unstructured free play when a variety of age-appropriate toys, puzzles and books are available for the children's enjoyment. After a time of refreshments for both children and adults, the children are led in interactive group singing.
We also offer special events like the Sticky Fingers Fun Morning in the church with bouncy castle and magic man. There are also special activites linked to Christmas and Easter. Once a term there is a "whopper morning" which normally focuses on arts and crafts. Mums are also invited to a termly Sticky Fingers Mum's Social Evening.
