Vision and values

Our vision is to be an enthusiastic, passionately worshipping community, having a discernable impact in the communities of Kensington and beyond by serving in practical ways and leading people to a relationship with Jesus Christ.

To this end, there are several key values which you will find throughout every aspect of our church life.

We value worship
We want to keep worship at the centre of everything we do. We have been reminded to make Jesus our ‘first love’ and we want all our activity to be generated from this.

We value the ministry of the Spirit
We want to encounter the presence and closeness of God in all our services and times together. We want to make space to listen to what God is saying to us, learn to hear and respond to him and ask for his healing and empowering for our lives.

We value the Bible
We want to be a church rooted in the Bible, and allowing its truths to inform our life, witness and service.

We value mission
We want to be a church that impacts our communities through practical and targeted serving. We want to use our buildings to better serve the people of Kensington and beyond.

We value community
We want to be a church where Jesus’ love is seen among us. We want to share our lives together – sharing gifts, hospitality and supporting one another.

We value unity
We want to be a church pulling in a common direction with our energies expended towards a united mission effort.
