What was God’s purpose 2000 years ago when the apostle Paul visited Albania, preaching the eternal Word of God? What is God’s purpose in these days, after 2000 years of Balkan strife? This largely Muslim nation has a divine call to be Christ’s ambassador of reconciliation in a world of long-standing conflict, and to reach out to other Muslim nations with the love of God. How can the people go if they are not raised up, prepared and sent? The Mitrushis are in Albania seeking to live so that the fragrance of Christ permeates all they are and do and reaches others. With other believers, they seek to 'raise up the age-old foundations' to see the nation’s destiny fulfilled, through teaching in churches and Bible schools, through strategic intercession, and by being a bridge for nations and peoples to meet and, touched by the love of God, to move on and fulfil his purposes.
